Help with Amazon UK - item hasn't arrived (resolved)

This is not a pony item but I wasn't sure where else to ask - my parcel was supposed to arrive on the 29th.  It is now the 10th.  I have no idea where it is as there is no tracking information.  I have been looking on Amazon for help and it says to contact the carrier.  I don't know who that is - how do I find out?  The only other option I can find is to return the item, but how do I return it if it hasn't arrived?  I don't know how to contact them aside from leaving feedback.  Can anyone help?

I would keep asking Amazon.

That aside, when did you place the order? Also, sounds like the purchase was from the Marketplace and not Amazon directly? That can have an impact on transit time.

When I've ordered directly from Amazon UK from the UK to the US, transit time took around 3 weeks. But that was a few years ago. I've not ordered recently as the US currency exchange has not been good.

Hopefully someone else can help with a few more ideas.

I would ask amazon but I don't know how to get hold of them, hence my post. And I do believe it was purchased from amazon directly. Order placed on 22 October. Mail from the UK is normally pretty quick. I really just want a way to contact them, why do they make it so hard?

I've only bought from Amazon once directly and everything went fine, plus it was years ago, soo I'm going to have to go check how things work on there now to give you a more helpful answer.. :blush:   though I think considering the slowness and unpredictibility of international mail, there is still a very good chance that your item will arrive safely.  I know its frustrating and definitely not good for the nerves, but 4 weeks and more are not unusual fror Uk to Austraila, even if you've recieved parcels much quicker than that in the past ;)   :hug:

Hi! I'm in the UK too, and I've had this happen before, firstly check the product page, check specifically the shipment times / dates, I found I ordered a MH doll and I went to check back a week later when it hadn't arrived, and the product was actually falsely 'in stock' and it wasn't due to arrive for another month, so I would've waited over a month to recieve it! :doh:

Also, another suggestion if I can be of help, look back at the 'where's my stuff page' under 'my account', it should help you get your feet as to where your item maybe!

Thanks everyone, well I finally got hold of Amazon and they replied very quickly and refunded my money, which I suppose is good, but I'm not happy because they are now out of stock of the item and can't send a replacement.  It was supposed to be for my brother's birthday (which was yesterday).  Still hoping that it might arrive before I see him next.  :(

Glad to hear they've refunded you, but its sad that the item is unavailable, if I may ask, what item is it? I believe amazon USA offers shipping abroad, so if you let me know, I could check for you, and let you know, I couldn't order for you, but I could check availability if you so happened to wish to order the item in question :) PM me if you'd like me to check for you! x

Icecrystalline - thank you for your kind offer, but I've fixed it!  It's a book called "How To Tell If Your Cat Is Plotting To Kill You" by Matthew Inman (we're big fans of The Oatmeal) and it's not available in NZ yet - but I found a seller that ships from the US, and it works out to be about $3 cheaper than what I paid before!  Only problem is that the estimated delivery is 22 November - 29 December... but I can live with that.  My birthday present from him was at least a month late this year anyway!  :)
