Jewels on a Pony
« on: October 31, 2012, 03:30:23 PM »
1. Show me any ponies with Jewels

2. How did you get them to stick on?

3. Do you put sealer for the jewels?

4. Any other hints techniques that would be helpful.

I am thinking of a wonderful custom for another pony and well....it will have jewels, but I do not want the jewels to fall of in shipping or touching of the pony. So I need advice:) Please and Thank You

Here's the pony I made for the VA meet this year, the theme was "Blinged out, I call her "Super Bling"

1. see above
2. some were already sticky, others I used hot glue onn, still others I super glued(like the eyes for example)
3. I sealed the ones around her rump, but the rest I left as is, I could go either way
4. check your dollar store for nail appliques, thats where I got some of my already sticky ones. also, put the glue on the pony, not on the jewel, try working with a pair of tweezers and not your bare hands/fingers

i always put my pearls and gems in random places, or if the custom have defects (i cover them lol)
first paint and seal the custom, then i stick them with more sealer (brilliant sealant) :)
