I think the NYC marathon is a lose/lose situation.
Run the marathon people will be displeased. Dont run the marathon people will be displeased.
I heard about it on the radio this morning. Supposedly the marathon brings a lot of money to New York and NY is going to need it.
I dunno how to feel about it but it will be interesting to see what happens because of their choice to go with it.

Very interesting. They made a good choice. It is clear people there have issues that need the full attention of their resources. Even if the mayor insists resources would not be diverted, to me I would be asking, if they have the extra resources for the marathon, why are they not being fully utilized for the disaster?
And I really hope they were not really thinking about kicking people out of hotels.... omg...

Good.  I'm glad they finally realized that their resources would be better used on helping people affected by th hurricane.  Thanks for the update!!

Update on the marathon today, still canceled, but now they are donating the resources that the marathon had - food, water and such - to the hurricane relief.

I think cancelling the marathon was for the best. The resources should go to those who really need it.

Thankfully, everything turned out okay around here. The power dimmed a few times, but that was the worst of it.

Finally seeing work on snapped power lines so hopefully this weekend power will come back at my house.
