How many hanks of hair for a G3 Styling Size?

What the title says lol. How many hanks would I need to rehair my G3 styling size pony. Also, how do you get the head off those things? It won't fit into my pony boiling pot!

In my experience, the heads come off pretty easy, but if your's is on tight, I'd suggest putting her in the oven for 30 seconds to a minute at the lowest setting (somewhere around 250 degrees).

as far as hanks of hair, I'm not sure what to tell you. I'd assume you'd need at least 5 or 6 of the MLP hanks, it would also depend on how long you want the hair, if you want it SLH you may consider getting the hanks in baby doll size rather than MLP-sized quantities

From what I remember from other posts/people asking this question, it takes three full hanks cut in half.

I'd say three full hanks, less if you're cutting it in half. It took me three hanks when I made Rapunzel, and I used the full length then.

I've only ever done one styling g3 and she took 9 hanks at half length. That includes the tail. Honestly, never again.

My g4 took 3 and a half so I would guess 5-6 for a g3.
