well based on the new rules, i'm a couple weeks short of being able to actually host a swap.

You may get more interest after the holidays. The big Holiday Swaps are coming and with the new rules, people are likely going to want to save their slots so they can participate in those. I might even be interested after the holidays if those new fairy pets are included.
