fakie CPKs?

i'm trying to replace a doll that i used to have when i was little, but i don't know what brand it was.
i got it from a UK poundland/poundstretcher and it was around 1995/6 because i got my first CPK the christmas of 95.
they were definitely knock-offs, except their eyes were traditional blinking ones not painted on. they had sweet little smiley faces and i think some might have had hair but mine was bald. they were stuffed but had plastic arms and legs, and you could get them in black or white and in various outfits.
just wondering if anyone has any knowledge of fakie CPKs so i can maybe try to match it up? i don't have an account on gotd but i will try there next thanks guys!

I think you might be talking about David Craft Dolls (Davidcraft).  They were like 20 inches tall.  They had yarn hair and hard limbs with the open and close eyes.  Look them up on ebay I guess and see if they have any like what you are looking for.

thanks for your reply, i just looked them up and it's not them though sorry i forgot to say they were a little smaller than a large cabbage patch kid doll.

no it's not that it's nose is smaller and the hands and feet are ~more properly~ formed. thank you though!

gah! i will try and have a look online for a picture. so sorry to everyone who gave suggestions, they are obviously going to be harder to find than i hoped!
