Two doll I need help deciding on

Hey guys, it's rare for me to venture into the doll forum here on the arena but I need some ideas on what to do with two doll I have (three if I can find my childhood one)

Over the summer I've tried to rummage through as many yard sales as I could... with no luck finding ponies... however two sale I went to at different times had two dolls I was familiar with... Cupcake dolls! Normally I see dolls like barbie or McDonald's toys or stuffed toys, but these were my best finds despite their condition.

I have yet to clean them up as best as I can (as I have been busy) but over all condition of them: Hair and tinsel is a mess and I don't think I can really save it on either of them, missing hats, dark one is sticky, both don't have there scent (of course), dresses are not bad but not good either, and just over all grime. The African American one is actually in better shape than the redhead (which kind of makes me sad because I'm a redhead ).

Would you guys suggest just a general restore w/o the tinsel (I really don't want to add the tinsel again) or a complete makeover (mostly it would just be new hair and seeing if I can add scent and make new hats). I have a blond one somewhere from my childhood that probably needs a makeover too if I can find her and her hat (which is also somewhere in this house... my closet is a scary place atm)
