What a great thread idea!  

Big congratulations to everypony for your wonderful news.

Over here, the good news is focussing on DS going back to school.  He has the same two teachers he loved last year (they moved up a grade, too! ), the super-annoying boys from his class are in the other class, his best friend's now in his class, and best of all, it's more English and less French this year (he's in immersion).   He's usually, er, mostly unenthusiastic about school, but this year, he's loving it.  So far.   Huge sigh of relief from me.

My good news:

My car was going to cost £1500 to repair, turns out the main dealership were just trying to rip me off, my local garage and a few others told me it'll only cost £40 for a few minor repairs, not huge ones!!

My mum doesn't have to have a root canal after all, it is just a tooth fracture so that will soon be sorted!

Nothing else really!

My good news:
My first day of volunteering was today, (technically an 'induction') and it was fun. Although there wasn't much for me to do so I finished early, but the centre is nice and I made friends with one of their resident cats.

And well, even though I somehow either slept through or for some strange reason my Alarm didn't go off (why did I trust you IPOD) and woke up an hour later than I intended I managed to get there on time. My dad drove me halfway to where I needed to be so I could catch the buses I needed. I have to take THREE buses to get to this place D:

My back and shoulder have been agony for nearly a month now, last night I tried sleeping on my wooden floor instead, and I've not been hurty at all today!

Mine is my dad's gone back to work so now the house is somewhat quiet.
