Slow shipping time?
« on: September 09, 2012, 04:27:26 PM »
Hi =)

I have a doubt and have no idea what to do now =P

I bough a manga on eBay a month ago (on 08/06/12), and was shipped on 08/07/12 (from US to Mexico).  But still haven't arrived.

I'm not sure if I should contact the seller or what =P

I don't have problem waiting, but this is for a gift one of my sisters want to do and already asking -pestering- me about it.

I've only bought once before, and the package arrived a little more than a month later, but now with if not being a package for me, not sure what to do =P

(Seller has 99.6% positives, asked if send internationally, said yes, paid same day the manga, shipped a day later, but without tracking due to him not using it... -yeah... it's still weird for me someone not offering tracking, but... blergh, it wa still the cheapest XD)

I'm keeping now track of my PP protection time...  so...  any ideas?

Did Ebay give you an expected delivery date? If it's more than a day or two after that I'd contact the seller.

Between 30-45 days (been a little over a month).  But I'm not sure how much it's from a shippment from USA to Mexico to begin with XD

A long time since I'd bought something from US  =X

Ebay gives a 'estimated' time the package should arrive
Under your purchases look for the purchase. it should be here

If it's any more than that I would definitely notify the seller like lolaa said.

What I'm worried is about my PP protection time (a little more than a month -2 days more of the month-).  And shipping says 30-45 days.

But...  has someone sent something to Mexico?  How much it took to arrive?  (I only know what it usually takes from Mexico to US, not the other way =P)

In my opinion PayPal should definitely have a longer protection time, as often international packages do take more than a month and a bit to arrive between some locations. I hope this is resolved for you soon :(

hello! I am sorry you are having to wait! I wanted to let you know that I shipped something recently to Australia. It took about a month to get to her. One thing though, when you ship internationally from the US, you automatically get a tracking number attached to the customs form. Now, it may be he misplaced it. But if he still has it, the number is written on it.
This tracking number, however, only tracks within the US, but it would at least give him the date it left here.

I know sometimes things coming out of the US to Mexico can take a bit longer. So I wouldn't lose hope yet.

But I would definitely contact your seller.  He or she should have a customs number no matter what that they can provide you with. Although it will not track it, you will still be able to see on USPS's site that it was accepted at their PO.

I would also mention to them that your 45 days are approaching and that you may have to open a case to protect yourself if it does not arrive.  The case can always be closed once the item arrives.  If they are a honest seller they will understand.

I think that there is still a good chance your item will arrive, especially since it can take longer than a month   However, the advice you have been given here is good- to contact your seller, ask for a customs number, and also to mention that sine your Paypal deadline is almost up that you will have to open a case, but that you will be happy to close it etc as soon as the package arrives
