Need serious opinions on a major project idea!

Well my kids ended up taking the origenal Helicarrier, but they released a slightly smaller version that I will be buying to do this.  The project will still take a long time, but will be awesome in the end I think!

I guess I'm the only person that thinks Steampunking (is that a word?) it would be sad.  What I loved so much about your first idea (which I support, btw ) is that at least how I was picturing it, it would be a complete makeover.  No metal, no gears, no technological looking parts.  It was going to turn into something pretty much exactly opposite of what it currently is and I thought that was AWESOME!

Sounds cool, but kinda an expensive toy to customize. If you have the money and don't think you'll kick yourself in the future when the price goes up then I guess you can do what you want.
