My pony collection as well as a couple of pinball machines have been funded exclusively by selling off my One Piece Portrait of Pirates figures. I had almost the entire run of POP figures and if just seemed like it was a chore tracking down the new figures and I just didn't enjoy collecting them anymore. I just decided to get rid of all of it. I still love the One Piece anime but have no interest in the figures anymore. I made a ridiculous amount of money off of them which has allowed me to get pretty much any ponies I want and also let me add a couple more pinball machines to my gameroom.

As far as your Beanie Babies if they are just sitting in bins and not being enjoyed I would say keep the ones that are special to you and sell the rest. If they aren't worth much donate them to Toys For Tots. That way they can go to a child who will love them as much as you did!

YEAH HI FIVE FOR ONE PIECE!

Ironically I'm having the exact same problem as you over in another thread. I'm just gonna sell mine in lots since that seems to be what everyone's tell me to do. It probably won't make me much money but hey, money is money, and I could always do with a little more even if it could only pay for one pony.  :P Though the Toys for Tots is a very good idea as well!

When I got into ponies I had a rather extensive collection of Thundercats and She-ra, including a tin She-ra trash can. The figures had all accessories/weapons and clothes including their horses and collector case. I completely and totally regret selling them. I had been bitten by the "gotta have them all" for MLP and I had just learned about the internet at the same time, so I was completely entralled by the trading and selling and buying. I have since sold most of the ponies that I had collected since I started too, so my loss of the Thundercats and She-ra honestly was for nothing in the end. I do however do not regret the many wonderful people I met along the way of my pony collecting, they all have a special place in my heart as well as the ponies that they gave to me as gifts.
As for your beanie babies, I would have to say price check ebay for lots of them and see if they are worth selling in a batch (its almost Christmas, you never know if someone is a new collector) and if that doesn't pan out, see if you can donate them to a local fire department for them to give to children of fires. I know my fire department takes in toys for that purpose, or you can check a children's hospital to see if they have a donation box.

I have sold my breyers many times to get more ponies. Then turn around and sell my ponies to get more breyers. I was very upset at myself for selling some of the ponies that I did in the past. But I never really seem to miss the breyers that much. I need to stay in one hobby!!! I need to just stay with the ponies. I can afford them alot more and they are so much more fun! I cant do much with a breyer and always worried that I am going to make a mark on it!
