Thanks for the information on the dolls. Glad I learnt all this now before I impulse bought things :D All your displays are super-cute, so I feel confident that I don't have to dedicate a shelf in my garage just for them, they can hang around with My Pretty Mermaids!

Nearly all the dolls I've seen are stunning. They look well made and designed, which is why I have oogled them for so long. I really like Operetta, so I think she will be my first planned buy. Not sure which version to get yet, though!

I've spent up this month as I found a Matchbox Carousel (I'd been dying to get a replacement since my dad accidentally threw my childhood collection away) so it may be a little while until I get a dolly. Very excited about planning where they will live, though ^_^

Welcome to the club! I got the MH bug a few months ago. Here is a relatively recent photo of my collection (it's just missing a few recent acquisitions):

This is not the most ideal way to display them because of the curtains. Some of the dolls at the back, particularly Clawd, get knocked over by the curtains, particularly when my daughters open or shut them (they aren't as careful as I am). They are also getting a bit dusty, but I don't know there's much I can do about that short of building a giant glass box to display them in. I am intending to move them over to the top of a book shelf in the bedroom where they won't get knocked over by the curtains any longer and won't have to fight for space with that plant.

Venus Mcflytrap is a favorite amongst alot of collectors. I have to admit shes one of my favorites too. And since shes a newer release she shouldnt be that hard to find.

....I wouldn't say that just yet. I haven't found her or Robecca.

I haven't seen Venus for sale in the UK yet, but I do like her colour-combo! I've seen sets with her and Robecca on eBay, and it's very tempting >.< ... Must restrain oneself!

---

Okay guys, I broke! I went to ASDA yesterday, and with the help of my younger sister picked out my first MH doll.  :P I saw Operetta in the flesh, and she really wasn't what I expected. Her body colour is so purple, I thought from stock images that she was an off-white.

So I ended up with Rochelle! I do not regret the choice at all - my sister helped pick a good one! We had a lot of fun last night posing her. I have a feeling that she will be the first of a few to end up in my garage :)

Thanks for all your help, guys!
