Sorta OT...Ideas for a MH birthday bash?

Hey y'all.  I'm throwing a big birthday in October for a 7 year old.  I always go all out  I'm looking for ideas.  So far for favors I got the girls the B&W Frankie, gonna make them journals also.  I don't know what to get the boys...there will be more boys than girls!  I'm ordering all three of the cardboard stand ups for decorations and lots of balloons.  I need craft/game ideas, food ideas, favor ideas(especially for the boys) & prizes.

Here's what I'm thinking so fay, probably won't do them all:

Dawn of the Dance Party(disco ball, party lights, music)
Cleo's mummy wrap game
Draculaura's photo shoot
Frankies home ick cupcake decorating
Lagoona's science class(making slime)
Ghoulia's bowling game
Need game/craft ideas for Spectra & Clawdeen(her faves!)  I MIGHT make a ragdoll spectra pinata.

If I were you, I'd look up Halloween type stuff.  You know how Jello always has seasonal receipes?  Probably Betty Crocker too.  I can't remember off the top of my head, UGH!  Oh, like chocolate pudding with crushed up Oreos on top for dirt, and gummie worms.  Cute stuff like that.  Looking up receipes will give you more variety for food ideas:)

Also, going with Halloween-type stuff might help with the boys.  Pirate hats, Vampire fangs, skeleton bone gloves. 

I'm NOT saying change the theme (if that is how I'm coming off) I just think adding Halloween as a theme might make shopping for the boys easier:)

There's a "Ghoulia's Secret Ghoul Juice" receipe on monsterhigh.com somewhere.  I'm sure you could Google it.

I remember, when I was around nine, one of my friends had a birthday party where we played a really fun Easter egg hunt type game. They hid, I believe it was fake dollars, around the yard, and in a time limit, we had to find them. The dollars were exchanged for prizes, and, of course, everybody got something. It was a lot of fun! Maybe you could do something like that?

For Spectra - how about a scavenger hunt? Have the kids find the items, and take pictures of them and then they have to make up a story about the items...like she does for her gossip pages.

I know Walmart had a ton of MH stuff in the party supply section when I was there the other day. Drink cups, napkins, plates, and some little favor things. That might be good for basics. For a Spectra game, what about Spectra's Sleuthing? I've played a game like this before- give one of the kids an item while they're blindfolded and have them try to figure out what it is. It was a big Halloween game because you'd have to stick your hand in a box to feel the item, and it was usually something you thought was gross, but was actually something normal. For example, have a bowl of cold spagheti- it'll feel like worms! Or a head of cauliflower feels like a brain when you can't see it. I always loved that one!

For my birthday this year my dad made me an amazing fondant 3 tiered Monster High cake

All great ideas guys, thanks for the replies!  I went to Walmart & got plates & stuff an then went to the school supplies section to get the notebooks I'm using for my journals & found Venus & Robecca stashed behind a ton of stuff!!  I was sooo happy & so was Avi.  Now she's bummed she has to wait til her birthday to open them lol.  I also got her the karaoke machine/cd player.  It's awesome!!
