That will help. The hard thing about cats is they hate being confined or forced into doing anything. But if he likes to lay in any box you put at cat height you could chill a large tile and put it in the bottom of a box and show him you got a new box. What cat can resist a cardboard box?

Well I use to cut my cats hair and freeze half of her water bowl, and in the heat of the day if I was home I'd give her a bath.

i used to have a long haired cat.. and  i  would  shave him in the summer.  i know it sounds  cruel but he was  angora/himalayian.  very very long hair. and very thick.. he was  reatfull for the haircut and i would also palce a small fan  near where he laid. that way  he would consntly have  cold  air going at him.  and i'd bathe him to cool him off.

How would that be cruel? D:

My family has 6 cats. We have 5 shorthair and one longhair cat. We got the longhair cat shaved this year (the lion cut style) and I think he has been much happier! For the shorthair kitties most of them like laying on the tile floor or the wood floors Hopefully the a/c unit will help your kitty!

My cat likes to play in the tub. I turn the water on lightly and she jumps in and rolls around and bats at the water coming from the spout. She also likes to be misted with a spray bottle. Yeah, my cat is weird But when it is hot, I try to let her play in the water atleast once a day. She loves water and the tub Maybe your kitty might like that too?
