Weird Winger pony Sky Dancer?? (Update)

These wingers do look like factory Frankenponies. It actually happens a lot. In the 1970's Mattel sent mismatched Barbie dolls to Australia. They used the some old 1960's heads on 1970's bodies and mismatched up older outfits and accessories. They are super sought after still sealed in their boxes. (Otherwise it would be hard to tell if it was original or not.)

As for the ponies being shiny.... maybe they are damp? Or she used Armor All??

The wings seem to be the same thickness

What I'm trying to understand is if those wings came on her originally and are have not been replaced:)  If all those elements have not been tampered with, I would agree that these are more than likely authentic!!!

The seller might have wiped them off and taken pictures when they were wet? And all the re-listed items were won by the same bidder who I guess didn't pay so they were put back up.

Yes I think its just that the ponies have been wiped down or are wet...sometimes that happens when I take a quick picture after a pony has has a baby wipe clean

@nightmimic I am sticking by my original theory now that I see the back clasp is different as well - "UK Winger Variants" as per Happy Tails...fingers crossed!

i acutally like buzzer with that pink hair.. would look good on her. Yes, I would say those are genuine ponies and not customs of any kind. If sky dancer has no holes punched in her mane,, then these maybe factory errors.. or maybe even, like someone mentioned about the barbies.. just later runs of these ponies that hasbro had left over parts put them together in anyway possible, and then sold in the uk or where-ever.

I'm now thinking that all these UK princess variants, and happy tales, now summer/windy wing variants were made for discount stores.. Just a thought.. can anyone confirm?

As you can see the only information we currently have is the thought that they were sold in factory/reject stores. Since this thread was posted we have also since seen a MIB Happy Tails pony although oddly inside a Princess box but it was genuine HB packaging.

they are both fantastc. does anyone else think that sky dancers tail hole a bit too high? they do look very unique with their different wings. it would be so awesome to win ponies like that. i would love to get a prototype like that. congrats on them and good deal too.

She did on this side of the pond...purple hair is the Euro version of Baby Starbow
