Best way to do rehair on this custom?

So I need to rehair a custom in glow in the dark hair but was not clever enough to stock up when MLC had it in stock, last time I brought a long halloween wig and so want to use the hair again but this time for a G4 custom. The first time I rehaired was a G3 with the needle and thread method (way back before a rehairing tool became known and then the best thing ever!).

So I need help on how best to rehair? The GIT hair I will be cutting from the scalp of the pony and not likely to be folded over to do a usual retool root - but the needle and thread method with knotted or glued ends dont think will manage with that tiny tiny head and lost hemostats..

Unless make the lengths long somehow to reroot...hmmm

I have only ever used the threading method with G4s. The only problem I have is if I make the plugs too large and break the thread or bend the hair. In that case, the only thing you can do is cut the plug and try to redo it. :/ Teeny tiny heads.

Oh, and I find it easier to position the needle on the inside of the head instead of the whole loop part of that method. It makes things easier with the G4 heads to just skip that step and go from inside out.
