What's Your Photo Planning Process?

I've been meaning to ask this for a while. We all do our photos completely differently - so I'm guessing the journey to the finished project varies from monster to monster.

Mine is simple.

1. Grab my phone.

2. Take a doll out of the display case and change the outfit.

3. Go to my backyard/front yard, or drape a blanket/piece of fabric/towel over a sidetable.

4. Take about 50 photos.

5. Upload them to my computer and edit through Picasa.

6. Upload on Flickr and post here!

Ahaha, planning. HAHAH. My planning is brainstorming and then buying/finding stuff I need then setting up.

1. Basic concept (sometimes sketched)
2. Find the outfit
3. Hairstyling
4. reference images for poses/backdrops
5. Sketch out of take mock photos of desired posing
6. Put it all together
7. Take 200 pictures, hope one works, and be prepared to go through all of it again when it doesn't

I grab doll.. then try and do something, sob loudly into hands, put doll back... rinse and repeat until I get something.

I brainstorm for a few days... Get my supplies together,  try to get my background to look like what I envisioned...Shoot some pictures, and pray they come out like I want!
