Flutter wings?

This might sound really silly since I collect flutters, but other than my MIB girl I don't have any actual flutter wings. It's just never been a priority since I don't really like the wings and want to make them new ones. I got a pony the other day though that had these with her (she's not a flutter). I pulled out my boxed girl to try and compare, but I just cannot really tell since I cannot pull her out ect.

Are these real wings or repo wings or what?....If these are real wings no wonder they broke so easily. It's like playing with  a thin piece of paper/plastic.

I think wings tend to go for $30 (I remember cat saying this a week or two ago)

Thanks, lol not really worried about the price though. I was just curious if they are real or what. I don't know about these wings.

They look like repos to me, but I'm not absolutely positive. It's not a big deal-- I have a complete set of Flutters and only one set of wings-- and I got them broken, and had to repair them! But making custom wings is a LOT of fun. :) I have lots of those because I keep coming up with ideas!

Oh repos or originals isn't a huge deal to me don't get me wrong. I intended to keep them and stick them with one of my flutters. I was just curious since I hadn't really messed with their wings before.

Hi!  I'm looking at those and they kinda look like repros, though very good ones.  I took my last remaining flutter wing off rosedust and it snapped (d'oh!), but its still in good enough shape to post this.

It kinda has embossed veins in it, always made me think of dragonflys wings, and a big sort of splashy design in the lower centre.  But they were ridiculously delicat like that thin film of plastic you describe, juuuuust the sort of thing you want to hand your six year old for playing with (not).  But beautiful.  I always liked the flutters, too. ^.^

Thanks very much guys. Even Repros I think my minty Hollywood will enjoy them. It's no fun with only MIB Drifter being the one to have wings. I intend to make different types of wings for my other flutters, but it would be fitting for Hollywood to have some that look close to the others.

Thank you that picture is helpful, and I can see the difference. Mine the lines are not as exactly defined and the tabs are different. Hehe, my mom wouldn't let me have flutter ponies as a child actually. Wingers were my first babies with wings.

Sugar.Lightning, I just have to say that that is the best picture I've ever seen of an original flutter pony wing! I've never seen a clear photo because there always seems to be so much glare reflected off of them! They really are pretty, more than I expected.

@ madhatterda:  No probs!  Those wings of yours are really pretty, I've yet to try my hand at crafting replacements.  (I always stress about doing things properly before I actually do 'em.)  Will you post a photo when Hollywood has them on, please? ^.^

@ Elisto:  Thanks!  My camera's ancient, but it sometimes lucks out. ^.^

Flutter wings *sigh* they drive me crazy trying to track them down. I use repros as place holders and I have some gorgeous butterfly style ones from PWK which are gorgeous!

Its a little tough to say for certain in the picture but those ones do look like very lovely repros - as much as you are saying they are delicate, watch out for the real ones they will be even more sensitive - whoever crafted them for children was not thinking straight lol!
Thank you Matcha for my gorgeous Baby Fifi avi
