Washing hair restores scent?
« on: June 28, 2012, 02:49:01 PM »
So, I recently got a Sugar Apple with a very, very slight scent to her incredibly frizzy hair-- long story short, after a wash with hot water and conditioner (and a good styling of course) once she was all dry I found that her scent was much stronger! I feel like I've had this happen with a couple other scented ponies, too, but this is the most noticeable instance.

Anyone had this happen? Hopefully if there's some veracity behind this, those of you with scented girls with a weak scent may want to give it a try.

On a second note, has anyone else found that Candy Cane ponies and Sunshine ponies in particular seem prone to unruly hair?

I've heard that hair dryers can restore scents too!

Interesting. Maybe it's the heat, if it worked with hot water too?

Oh! Interesting...I cant say I have ever found this myself but I guess its possible that a surface dirt, grime and oil may have been coating her scent! Very cool...

When I got Cotton Candy and once I washed her with soap, gave her conditioner, washed her with running water and used the hair dryer, her scent is magical now~ :D

My poor sunshine ponies always have really bad frizz from their color change streaks. I have tamed the other sections of hair but the streaks stick out funny sometimes.

That's interesting about the scent returning on the candy cane ponies. If I ever get another I won't be afraid to wash it of it needs to be washed. My Caramel Crunch came with gorgeous factory curls and she still smells amazing!

Same for me. My Caramel Crunch has lovely factory curls, though they're a bit frizzy, but her scent is somewhat slight. I'm a bit skittish about the idea of washing her hair and redoing her curls as long as she has her scent.

The color streaks on Sunshine ponies are notorious for frizzing.  Not sure about the Candy Cane ponies.
