PC Argie pink Cherries Jubilee

I'm wondering how much is the value for my Argie pink Cherries Jubilee.

I first thought she was a rehair because of the shiny and curly hair but now I think the hair is original after checking inside of the pony in better light. The mane plugs have this >>>> pattern inside of the head. The tail has metallic tail holder thingy. So I think this means not a rehair? Any opinions?

The pony has some small marks and slight wear, 4 hair plugs missing, slight tail rust.

Did you buy her to otoño? do you have a photo of the metal washer on her tail? That would be really helpful

We're starting to see some ponies from South American countries that were rehaired in doll hospitals, so that's a possibility if she doesn't have "traditional" Argie hair. In countries where toys were expected to last a long time, more effort was put into repairing them than in countries where toys were considered disposable. I think most people are of the opinion that doll hospital rehairs are not the same thing as collector rehairs, but a new category unto themselves that does not diminish the price. I can't say for sure if this is the case with your Cherries Jubilee, I only have one Argie. Maybe someone else has a CJ that could be used for comparison?

I don't remember who was the seller. I've had the pony for about 5-6 years, and she came from Argentina/ebay.

I'll try to take a pic of the tail later, hope that will solve this case.

What kind of hair plugs and tail thingys do those doll hospital rehairs have? Are these the Argie rehairs with shiny, curly hair and no mane plugs visible inside of the head?

I've had some Argies before but those have been in much worse condition with matted, frizzy hair so I'm not really sure what should the hair be like in good condition.

EDIT: I just remembered I once had that yellow Argie Peachy which I decarded myself and she had shiny, curly hair too.

especially since she has tail rust and her body is also in fab condition

So how much is she worth? I was planning to sell her but now I'm not actually so sure about selling if she has the original hair after all.  It would probably be difficult to find her again in this good condition if I regretted selling her.

yup shes legit
as far as price goes, its hard to say.. 2 years ago i would say $100-120
but there has been a definate increase in popularity for argies in the last 6 months or so.... for many argies but not all...
some maintained their value and others are doubled

i have been looking for an upgrade for mine for about 2 years and havent seen one up for auction (that i remember at least lol)

anyone else?

and just for future reference here is a pic of 2 of the rehair shiny curly hair tails
they are the same color actually, one is just super faded.
the texture is Very distinct. as soon as you touch it its obvious that its not pony hair. that blue color is just not found in argies either. theres also a green version of this hair. shiny, crispy and fades easily. its been seen on a white baby moondancer

Rel, I have an Argie Pinwheel with that blue hair! I got her from Argentina a few years ago.  The tail is really curly, and you can't see the plugs in the head, but I can see a few stay reddish hairs.

Is mine one of those doll hospital rehairs?

yup shes definately a rehair. at this point i can usually tell just by the shinyness in pictures..
infact theres a wizzer on ebay atm that i suspect is also a rehair

If your talking about my Whizzer, I bought her a few weeks ago from someone on here and she is legit  I checked her after reading this post her tail washer is getting pretty rusty though, I might need to remove it later. It took alot of work to get her red streak in her mane smoothed out, it was pretty dry

As for CJ I agree, the prices on Argies are more right now, There is a Whizzer selling for $300+ atm 

 I would say atleast $200-$250 for her.
