Restoring question
« on: June 17, 2012, 10:24:08 AM »
Does anyone have any tips on how to remove  - it looks like some kind of glossy paint - without damaging the pony's original symbol?

Can you post a photo?  There are some methods model horse folks use that might work but best to show it.

A pic would definitely help.  Have you tested to see if it is a water soluble paint that could be removed with gentle scraping/scrubbing in warm, soapy water.  I have also used a Magic Eraser, very gently and carefully, with some marks on the symbols before.  Good luck!  :)

I'll try and get pics later, but for now - it seems to be acrylic paint, but its been sealed by something because water and soap won't take it off without a LOT of scrubbing... hence my concern about damaging the symbol underneath.
