Moondreamers?
« on: February 17, 2012, 05:46:45 PM »
So...I received a pretty tatty one recently. I'd been staying away from them because...I don't need another collection quite frankly (Haven't I given Hasbro enough of my life? xD ).

But this one arrived in a bundle with a bunch of ponies, and ugh...I love her. It's like...Pocket Jem or something. :p

Does anyone here collect them? I know their line was pretty short lived, and I'm not sure how much distribution we got over here in the UK as they rarely pop up on e-bay.

I could also use some help identifying the one I have. She has the glow in the dark hair, which is pretty much white, apart from a sort of strip at the back where it's super pink (I'm thinking some odd fading?) The top of her hair is short and curly, and the back is pretty long, unsure if she's had a haircut at some point tho :p She has blue eyes. I'll try and get a picture up tomorrow.

Sorry to be a Moondreamers noob guys, but maybe we can see some collections and get some discussion going too?

Thanks in advance! x

I've also tried to stay away from them. Though I always loved the show even more than the pony show. I never had any Moondreamers toys as a kid, but I found a plush Stumbles in a thriftstore some years ago and he just melted my heart <3
I'd love to have some of the dolls too. argh! Hasbro why!?!?

Maybe you can ID her here:

Good luck! :D

Thanks SweetScoops! They have stars for belly buttons...how could I say no? I've identified her as a super faded Crystal Starr :) Just wondering if I should re-pink her or not, and how that would affect her GID hair...hmm...

Hi MissSleepless, a big Moon Dreamers collector here!

Just wanted to let you know it's perfectly fine to re-pink or dye the glow in the dark hair, it will still glow in the dark. Crystal Starr's hair is prone to sadly prone to fading due, I think, to kids leaving her in direct sunlight so she can "charge" during the day and glow brightly at night.

Good luck! :)
