Barbie Pretty Lovin' Candie Puppy Update
« on: June 02, 2012, 08:39:29 PM »
Background story:   Found this  Barbie Pretty Lovin' Candie Puppy in a bag at a second hand store with three other G1 ponies.  As I was going over my finds my Mom said I could do something with the puppy.  I kinda chuckled because I had no interest in it, the puppy just did not appeal to me.  My Mom's birtday was comming up so I though just for smiles "Why not".
Before I embarked on this unusual custom I did do research, what research I could do.  I found this puppy was common and not that valuable.  So off I went being creative
I had red pumps in mind for the cutie mark and keeping the Barbie logo intact.  My Mom does like Barbie and is more into clothing.  But I thought she would get a kick out of the puppy being turned into a custom.   I was originally going to give it a leapard pattern in pinks and blues.  But having hair made it look odd the first place so I changed the design to gold and silver german shepard markings.  This way it still looks like a dog.  I kept the original Barbie logo but the blind bag has my Mom's initial instead of Barbie's initial.
The hair on the head does stick up.  But that will be fixed when she gets a ribbon for a bow on her head.  She does not have a bow on her head right now because my Mom is my sorce for ribbons.
A  twist on my usual: instead of the pony having a matching animal companion, the  animal has a matching pony companion.

That is just too cute!  I love the way you have made them.  I bet your mom will too.
