Have you ever left a pony behind?

I left a bunch behind this weekend, but I didn't have enough cash on me to grab them all anyway.  I left 3 G1 birthflowers ($5 each, but all had flaws of some sort), BBE baby frosting, G3 stylin rainbow dash, a whole bunch of G1 and G3 playsets and a couple of petites.  I wish I had bought Peachy's stable now, though, just for twinkles.  My peachy needs her kitty back  =).

Yeas, I'd I'm still kicking myself for it. It was a My Pretty Pony, and the only reason I left her is because I didn't have $15 for her. It was an amazing deal, and I'm bummed that I missed out.

I leave G3s behind all the time now.  I have an entire bin of them that I can't get rid of as it is.  I only pick them up if I know I don't have that particular pony yet and it's in good condition AND it's cheap.

I try to get all of the G1s and G2s I see (not that I find many), but there was this one guy who had flat foot Cotton Candy, Butterscotch, and I think...Snuzzle?  Anyway, they were all absolutely filthy and dingy and priced at $25 each.   I scoffed and walked away.  I wouldn't have scoffed if the seller wasn't being a smug turd about his "SUPER RARE HTF PONIES", buuut he was. It's fairly easy for me to walk away from bait ponies priced at $25 each, especially if it saves me from having to deal with a condescending person who has no idea what he's talking about.

I generally snag G3s if they're not in a bag with fakies for a price I don't wanna pay.  : P  I use them for customs.  As for G1s, I only left one behind once.  It was a Snuzzle, which I do need, but she was in lousy shape--hair frizzy and I think cut, faded symbols, a bit discolored, and dirty.  They wanted five bucks for her.  : P

I wouldn't buy G2s as I don't like them, and the same applies to most of the G3.5s. I'm not an avid collector of G3s, but if they're of a reasonable price I don't see why not.

I'd only ever leave a G1 if it was in terrible condition, BBE (scary!) or waaay overpriced. Have to love G1s.

I rarely leave anything mlp behind. If I do its only because of ridiculous pricing. there are a few G1s that have been sitting at a local resale shop for months. They are $5 a piece and are super commons that I already have, in just ok condition. still feel bad leaving them behind.

I leave G3s and G3.5s behind all the time, but I really hate to leave G1s or G2s. But I don't find them often anyway, and so far I think I've only left behind two G1s and one set of G2s.

The G1s were a Surprise at a thrift store for either $2 or $3, I've forgotten now. But she was dirty and had a bad  haircut, and had her price written right across her side in red permanent marker ; And they wouldn't negotiate the price on her, sooooo....she stayed behind, poor thing.

The other was one of the rainbow ponies...Windy, I think? Who was scribbled all over in pen. She was at a swap meet, but since she was "one of the old ponies," the lady wouldn't take less for her...even when I went back at the end of the afternoon and tried again, since she still had her because, surprise, no one wants to pay $3 for a dirty pony with pen all over it

Aaaand the G2s were two Sundances and a Light Heart that were filthy and had glitter nail polish all over them. They were so manky looking. But the price wasn't right and that lady didn't want to barter with me either, lol.

Makes me so sad when I have to leave old ponies behind, but sometimes that's just what you have to do

I have, though I try not to. Recently I saw some US G2s (so pretty common ones) at a garage sale, but none had more than 50% of their hair and the seller wanted $5 for them I just couldn't do it.

Yesterday too, I left some behind. I went to a flea market and this woman was selling moderately common G1s, but they were so, SO dirty and gross looking, and she wanted $5 a piece I rescued 3 of the better ones and got them cleaned up (got her to take $10 for the 3), but there was a BnG Bouquet with cancer, a Princess Tiffany with severe head/body mismatch, a handful of those MO Xmas babies, and a couple others that I just couldn't shell out the cash for.

In November or December, my husband and I went to Target so I could get a Luna. I ended up leaving her behind though because of how purple she is. =/ She had looked more blue in the photos I'd seen online. Why yes I can be picky. Won't own Celestia til the white one comes out either.
