Packaging question for shipping ponies
« on: May 15, 2012, 11:37:35 AM »
Hey all. I have a quick question since this is the first time I am actually selling something and I want to it right. Sold my first pony (yay!) and I getting ready to package it right now. The box is 6" high and was made so that you could half that. As it is the pony can stand in the box, if I end up halfing it to 3" the pony will be able to lay down. Both ways give me enough room to wrap the pony and make sure it's all padded.

Would it be better to leave it the full 6" height to give more padding or is it better to use a 3" height and give it less possible shifting room? Any advice on this would be very greatly appreciated.

Thanks for reading.

I would say the less shifting the better as long as she can still be padded I would go with a snugger fit.

Congrats on your first pony sale!

I would say if there is no sculpting, go for the 3" option.  If there is a lot of sculpting (it doesn't sound like there is) then 6" and extra padding might work out better.

Sounds like the 3" is the one I'll do. Thanks guys for the input. I kept bouncing between the two on what would be better.

No sculpting on this one. My sculpted ponies are not sellable...yet.

Congrats on your first pony sale!
