So...what can I say about Salli. She is kind, sweet, a dear friend, and I am privileged to know her, and it wast this gal that started it all!
I had posted a thread about wanting to do a swap with someone, and Salli responded. I felt a little intimidated, since she is such an amazing artist, and I am just starting out. We discussed all our likes and dislikes, and it came up that we both liked peacocks. While we did not tell each other what we would be doing for the other, we happened upon the same idea. I will admit, I had intended to do a pony like she had done for me, though I felt like I was not good enough at sculpting to do such a thing, and so I backed out of that idea. I regret it, but I have already started sketches for a remake of her, A.A. 2.0 xD
Anyway, here she is. I kept her original hair, did a gradient dye on her legs, and dyed her hair with the same dye I used on her body. I was actually going for more of a black, but it turned into a marvelous amethyst. She was painted with acrylics, and sealed with modge podge matte, modge podge gloss on the eyes. I tried to style her hair, but I seem to have as much bad luck with her hair as I do with my own (can anyone say constant ponytail?)
So, without further ado, here is Amethyst Aerie!
