Has anyone ever customized/replaced the tail on a dance and prance pony?

Looking for examples or instructions on how to replace the tail specifically :3 I've got one with a chopped tail that needs fixin

It looks like you have to take the whole thing apart to replace the tail.

I actually did just managed to get it apart I basically had to destroy the mechanism to do it it sucked, but I'm hoping I can put it back together

I've only seen something on fixing the Brush N Grow mechanism. I have yet to see one on fixing a Dance N Prance, other then just buying a working mechanism from a donor pony or having someone that repairs dolls fix it.

I figured out how to get the tail out, but it took butchering the mechanism, I'm working on putting the mechanism back together with apoxie sculpt to see if it will work, if all else fails, I'll just customize her without the mechanism
