Books and Creditable Sources
« on: May 13, 2012, 09:42:13 PM »
Are there any books, besides the Collector's Inventory books that have the history of MLPs? Also does anyone have images or know where I can find images and info on the first Pony Project exhibition?

Here is a link to some 2005 images for you...

The only other book I can think of is "The World of My Little Pony" one for G1s - it comes up on ebay occasionally but you can also get it through Amazon I believe

Yep the one I was going to suggest is "The World of My Little Pony" too...I think it's quite pricey though, at least it has been when I've seen it.
Thanks to SDS for my siggy and avi

"The World of My Little Pony" isn't terribly accurate, though.  I mean, it's good as a checklist, but the author made up names for some nameless ponies (Mommy & Baby Pony got renamed as . . . well, I forget the mother's name, but the baby is called Beachy Keen.)

Hmm now I think I want to update my first post as a collection of MLP reference books. I had posted this orginally because I was working on a speech and the only way I could do a MLP speech was to have it be academic. So my speech was about "Three Major Influences from My Little Ponies" which I went with media, art and technology. Anyways, I found that the references to MLPs made in Out of The Garden; Toys and Children's Culture in the Age of TV Marketing to be quite useful and so yeah, gonna update that first post.

Also thank you, LadyMoondancer, partypony566 and hathorcat for your input and help.
