Coud someone please post a tutorial of how to use Apoxyscuplt?

I tried making my first custom today and wished I knew how to use apoxysculpt so was wondering if somone could post a tutorial, preferably how to make unicorn horns or wings? My mum took one look at my custom and said it was so amateur nobody would want it, (agreed, but I'd like to be better!) I'd really like to become creative again after losing all my creativity, so if anyone would be willing to post, I would be very greatful .

Keep in mind this is just one way to make wings. The best thing I can tell you is to experiement until you get something you like

Lotion really helps when using Apoxie also. I lotion my hands up before getting the clay out, and I keep a little puddle on my workspace to dip my tools into. I love my xacto knife and my awl as my favorite tools. I just use my tool handles to roll the claw out thin when I need. I make sure to put lotion on them too.

there are some great tips already
unfortunately I am of no help....sculpting is my weak point....need to work on that.
but the best thing to do it play with it...especially if you have never sculpted anything before.

Working with apoxie isn't really much different than working with any other stiff modelling compound.  The best thing you can do is practice; I'd suggest getting some Sculpey to work with since it doesn't cure on its own. You'll want a variety of shaping tools, most of which you can make yourself with a little time and ingenuity. Things like toothpicks, needles, wooden dowels, etc.

If it makes you feel any better, I HATED my Apoxie till I had used up about half of my 4lb order. Now I rather love it. It just takes some getting used to.

Aww thanks Maniah, I can't wait to get started, just finishing off my first ever custom this evening, I started this morning and I am just putting on the finishing touches...xxx
