My first custom, Bumble Lily!

It's been such a long time since I've been at the arena!  Unfortunately, I became so busy with classes this year that I didn't have much time to tend to my ponies.   But now I'm back, with my first custom completed!  This poor girl sat on my shelf, fully painted and sealed for several months before I had to time to do her hair and finish her.
I went with a bee theme for my first try because I have always loved the bug-themed ponies, and bumble bees have such nice colors.

I added a Lily to give her a splash of white in her colors, and reflected that by giving her a few stripes of white in her hair as well.  The golden "stem" coming off the flower was meant  to feel more like a magical glow than a physical stem, but I'm not sure how well that idea played out.  The only other thing that bugs me about her are the small lumps in the paint on her face and elswhere on her symbol, but over all, I m extremely pleased with how she came out.  She is painted with acrylics and her hair is Dollyhair Black Magic, Butterfly, and Virgin Snow.  Her symbol and eyes are sealed with Mod Podge gloss and her body in a matte finish.

Yellow and black are always awesome color choices!  She really pops!  I love her eyes!

She's lovely! I agree with CSA, the colours really pop, and I love the white stripes in her mane. Plus I have a thing for yellow-eyed ponies.   Great work on the symbol, too; the bumble bees are cute and the design has a nice flowing feel to it. Well done!
