Fixing Sweet Talking Ponies or Princess Sparkle?
« on: April 15, 2012, 05:01:19 AM »
Hi everypony, I was wondering if anyone knows how to restore the 'talking' mechanism on Sweet Talking G1s or the lights on G1 Princess Sparkle? Are there any tutorials on this? Let me know!
Thanks ^_^

All I can tell you is that they require a watch battery. I have no idea whether or not mine still works. I prefer silent ponies. ;) But I've been meaning to have my brother take a look anyway, so as soon as I can talk him into it, I will let you know what he says.

FarDreamer has a great restoration site.  There's a little bit of information about Sweet Talkers and Princess Sparkle.  Scroll about halfway down the page.

I have a defunct Princess Sparkle also; she is all rusted up and am guessing beyond repair unless anyone knows otherwise? :/

Maybe not! I mean, you might need to replace most (or all) of the parts, but with some ingenuity she could be fixable :) From what I've seen of their mechanisms, they're quite simple to manipulate and anyone with a little small electronics knowledge can understand the components. So if there's a local shop that does repairs, or you know someone who's handy with this stuff, they might be able to suggest a solution for you, or fix the problem outright.
