Summer excitement!

So my in laws have been urging my husband and I to visit them up in Calgary this summer.  I was a little hesitant to spend a week of wonderfully hot summer weather in Canada where I'd most likely have to wear jeans.  But as much as I hate cold and snow, I'm definitely not visiting in the winter!  We ended up (coincidentally) decided to spend the week of July 8-14th up there because it works best with my on call schedule.  Well we found out that it's the same week as the Calgary stampede.  Yay horses!


 I was a little disappointed at first because we were going to leave before the Brad Paisley concert on the 14th or 15th.  BUT, my disappointment is COMPLETELY forgotten because my husband was able to get us tickets to see Garth Brooks in concert there!!!  He's in my top 3 people I'd just die to see in concert!  I can hardly sit still!  Apparently the tickets sold out in like 10 minutes.  I am absolutely wired I'm so excited!!! Plus his parents are so excited we're coming to visit, they got us really good tickets to see the grand stand show on my birthday.  And it's the 100th anniversary, so I'm sure it's going to be a spectacle.

Ooooh. Horses are almost as awesome as ponies! Sounds like you'll be having loads of fun!

That sounds like lots of fun! I'm so excited for you to see Garth Brooks! I didn't even know that he still had concerts. I would love to go see him!
