Any Jewellery store workers?

AHAHA I'M MAKING A LOT OF POSTS RECENTLY!


Anyway funnies aside, I was wondering if someone here worked in a jewellery store or even better yet...Managed or supervised one? I am applying for a position via a website for a sales/retail assistant and I wanted to get some second opinions on  my cover letter and general pointers in how I can improve my chances?

Another fabulous member has already read my cover letter, if you're keen to read that  let me know. I'm already employed but I was bragging to a regular customer about being at my current place for 5 years and she goes 'Well I'll be happy to have you serve me another five years!' and that got me thinking.... Do I really want to spend another 5 years here? Do I want to explore my options?  A few weeks later that turned out to be a yes xD!

me too lol! I would have applied there, but mum knows a buttload so... Alot of the time she called them out on some of their peices that were poorly made, but she did so rather bluntly and would say things like 'That one? That one's a peice of crap, look how EASILY it would just snap off or just fall out of your ear' and all that... the staff member didn't appreciate it too much so I don't go back there anymore >__>;

And I applied online and I sent my application letter last night.  My friend looked over what I had written for my application letter and well... She rewrote what I had written and made me sound like some kind of super star, i kind of felt embarressed by it. It was so well worded and written and it made my original sound like rubbish, but I sent it anyway to see how I do!
