An important lesson was learned today

SMURF!!!! in fibers class my one friend can never keep dye out of her gloves, and no matter what she is using, dye, paint, marker, etc, she is always covered in blue!!! so she is our smurf!
get some good kitchen gloves that go as far up the arm as possible. it will help!

Thanks for the suggestions! The blue is kind of growing on me, but my mom and I were going to do mendhi this weekend. I guess I'll just have to settle for being 1/100th Skeeter Valentine for awhile.

The type of plastic has a certain finish on it. I think to make the dye stick you would have to sand off the top layer with a piece of light sandpaper maybe.

I thought about it, but there are so many molded details that I'd never be able to sand down in those little cracks.
