are these the same ponies we had last time? I hardly ever go to mcdonalds so i didnt even realize they had them until yesterday when i went threw the drivethrew, but they dont actually have pictures of the toys outside, just a show image of pinkie pie lol. Im wondering if it is worth it to start stalking mcdonalds again. T.T

They're different :3
They have keyring-like clip combs instead of their base combs, and the poses are a little different. They look pretty similar at a glance, though.

I was comparing this and last year's Applejacks side to side and it looks like the paints are brighter this year, too.

Their texture seems a bit different as well. Last year's ponies had more of a glittery-looking/shiny (or oily...) texture to them while this year's ponies are more smooth-looking and rubber-like in looks. And yep, like you said, their colors seem more brighter. Pinkie Pie's hair this year is a more vibrant pink than last year's.
