Customizing a Blythe Clone, I have some questions....
« on: February 23, 2012, 03:42:50 PM »
Hello there everyone... I am hoping that someone here has had a Blythe Clone at some point.
I really need a little bit of info...
What size eye chips do they use?
Is there somewhere to look for tutorials on how to remove the eye chips safely?

Also any General tutorials are great too.

Also to take the sheen away from her face would one use 3200 grit sand paper or 1600?

I have a Blythe Clone and just about everything is the same as a Takara Blythe.  The eye chips are the same size but getting out the ones that came with the doll can be a pain.  I used the glue stick method to get them out and then had to use a dremel tool to remove the plastic that was left behind.

There are a lot of tutorials on eye chip removal on you tube.

I can't remember what grit sandpaper I used to remove the shininess from her face, but I do remember it was an automotive sandpaper used for sanding paint.  Wet sanding paper- the kind you dip in water with a little dish soap in it.  I know I have some left somewhere, if I find it I'll let you know.
