If you are rehairing and you know your pony is going to have short stand on end hair, would you rehair it with really short hair or would you re hair with normal length hair then cut it?

silly question i know haha

I would rehair with the hair a bit longer than what I wanted it to really be, cuz I'd rather it be an inch or so to long, than it be to short.  You can always cut more off.

Yeah. I did a Ziggy stardust with a Mohawk mullet and his Mohawk part I rehaired about an inch long and cut it down to half an inch. Always go a little longer than what you want but don't go overboard.

One of my halloween customs had short hair, I cut it the length I wanted it to end up being.  I had a lot of difficulty keeping the hair on my rehairing needle while trying to get it into the holes on his head.  It may be better to leave it a little longer than you need, and trim it after.
