Nice idea. 

I finally found the other pearly G4s at Target today and I really want Colorataura.  But, I'm on a "no buying myself stuff" freeze until after Christmas. 
What's a pony collector to do? 

I wish I had that kind of self control. I've been buying so many ponies lately, it's ridiculous. But, I'm been uh....."blessed" with the funds. And barely put a dent in them, but still.   I have another brag thread I've got to put up with my latest acquisitions. Photobucket has been such a pain lately that uploading and posting the link the images sucks.

But dang, I got a pair of babies I am so in love with. They must be shared. <3

I always figured that they had the multifaceted eyes like bugs so they just see a hundred different things at once like bugs.

Now I am wondering if bugs get migraines....

I keep wishing they would make a mlp show that resembled the original animation from the 80s. I also wish they made mlp trading cards with the original art from the 80s. I'm just not into the new mlp.
I wish my husband would stop asking me to sell my ponies. Don't really want to part of any of them.

On Feb. 21st I'll have been collecting for two years. In January, once the holiday madness has died down, I want to buy myself a new pony to celebrate this. I'm not sure who that will or should be yet. I don't buy myself many ponies--I usually prefer getting them in swaps. This will also ensure I know who I got for Christmas so I don't wind up with a double.

Some of my ideas:

-- A g1 boy if I don't have one by then. Likely either Barnacle, Tex, Chief or 4-Speed.

-- Princess Starburst, if I don't have her. She's the last of the first set of princess ponies that I need and if / when I get her, I will have completed my first set. I'm generally not a big set completer; I don't have the space. But the princess ponies are an exception.

-- Dazzleglow: every time I look over at my Starglow I swear she's trying to say "Where is my sister?"

-- Crumpet or Munchy, since I love food / tea themed ponies.

-- FF Minty or Gusty since they, along with Parasol, were my "original herd" when I joined the Arena years ago. I grabbed them randomly at Value Village and eventually got rid of them before I actually got into MLP. I don't remember my childhood ponies, aside from Shady (I was more of a doll person) but I have pictures of those three ponies and I still need two of them to correct that.

Who does the G4 cards again? Not the Magic the Gathering style cards but the actual trading cards. Enterplay? Maybe they could do a wave of G1 cards. For MLP's anniversary, perhaps?  That would be kind of cool.

Maybe they can hardly see . . . and they bump into things . . . at least that's how I would be, if my eyes were made out of/covered in?

Now all I can imagine is my poor Gingerbread bumping into walls and narrowly avoiding falling off the table. I might try to get or maybe even  make some pony-sized glasses for her.

Or maybe they migrated somewhere else? That's less depressing and more plausible.

Another thought (though more like a headcannon,  really) I had:

So Soft ponies get super, super fluffy during the colder months. The toys are them in their spring or summer coats.

i just realized that in Bright Lights there are more than 6 Flutter Ponies. Maybe they're really shy but that doesn't explain why Bumble was only interested in capturing 6 of them in the honeycomb prison if there were more.

I  liked the trading cards when they were just trading cards. I haven't bought any since they went to the game style. I'd buy G1 cards too.  .

Right now I'm sunfading a Glory whose nostrils were colored purple. When I first set her out in the sun, I could swear those were the only significant marks on her. Now she has a purple mark up and down her leg and one on her neck Why is she getting more marks instead of losing them? Ai yai yai . . .
