Sweetberry variations?
« on: October 16, 2016, 04:29:59 AM »
So on my never ending hunt for the last sweetberry pony I need (Raspberry Jam), I found that there is apparently a UK version of her? She doesn't have a forelock!
So I was wondering! Are there any other variations of the other sweetberry ponies? And if so, do you have photos? I'd love to see!! (or even just photos of regular sweetberry ponies, they're the best!)
I love art and ponies so much!!

It would be a hassle to get my ponies out at this time, but I noticed a few smaller variations on these, mostly between China and HK versions. Some have a slightly smaller mold too, as have many ponies. I usually see it as I compare their heights of their back when standing. So lately, I ended up keeping both the China and the HK version when a duplicate came in.

There are at least three variations of Boysenberry Pie, HK, China, and China non pat pend :)  all are slightly different shades of purple.

Blackberry Pie in the UK ;) She's usually Chinese here.

It's not a UK/US etc variation, though. I think the Chinese ones are generally more prevalent in Europe. I know my childhood Cherry Treats is Chinese and I bought her locally. I am not sure about the Strawberry Surprise pony variations but the forelock thing is also true with Cherry T.  Chinese ones don't have forelocks.

^^ My childhood pony. She needs a bath I think...

I have HK and China versions of Raspberry Jam. Latter came from a UK carboot, former from a US trading partner on here:

Both pictured here.

We also only had four of the six here, officially. So it's possible there isn't as much variation on Blueberry Baskets and Cranberry Muffin. Those two weren't in the UK (and I believe cross-European) line up.
