Gradient, definitely! I'm so sad that so far G3 is the only gen to use that gimmick, it's gorgeous.

OH I was thinking gradient hair when I voted, not gradient cutie mark. >.< I love that idea! The G3's with gradient cutie marks were soooo gorgeous.

The option to alter your votes is still up so if you voted for gradient hair and wouldn't want a gradient body feel free to switch. Though, never fear! Gradient hair IS an option we will be voting on when we move onto the mane.

Twinkle eyes are an acquired taste!  many less-advanced collectors won't buy a twinkle eye.  If doing twinkle eyes, make them real gems not plastic! So many 10mm gems available under $2 each would be a great way to do twinkle eyes (so I don't have to upgrade mine later).

Ponyfan, how long has it been since you tried?  I couldn't draw my own name decades ago and took a whack at drawing still-life a couple months back and was shocked it looks like a pony!  So try again, you never know what new talents your brain has developed while you weren't looking.

Ah, I can understand where you're coming from. Though I'm sure, more than anything, most artists want to INSPIRE and not discourage people.
