Ponies and pokemon

Gotta catch 'em all pretty much works for both, true? There's always going to be ponies I can't afford or just flat out can't find, but the desire for the set remains. Anyone else feeling this? Even some sets that I didn't really want. I'd get one in a lot and say " why not?, I'll keep just one. "

Yeah, this completely describes me and G4s, there will always be tht ONE pony, that you will never have, unless you have a very lucky day at the flea market  .

When I first started collecting I only planned on getting certain ponies, but now I have to collect them all. Even ones that I never intended to.

Nah. Some I never liked, some I can't afford either due to cost or limited space.

That sounds like me too. I was only intending to collect just G1. Now I got G3,G4 and 0 space to display them in. I know they must be sad and mad at the same time. :/ Im sure they are plotting revenge.

There are so many ponies that I want now. I started by wanting a whole 12 G4s... Yeah that lasted lol. Now I'm like well I want all G2s and G4s, I keep adding to my G1 list, and my list of wanted G3s is slowly growing.

Anything that I run into in the wild, whether on my list or not I end up wanting it. Meaning for example I never wanted Little Flitter. Now I'm in love with her, and want her whole set. Didn't want Up Up and Away, now I want to upgrade mine and collect the whole set instead of just Sugarberry.

I'm pretty sure I will eventually just end up wanting one of everyone, and doubles of some (mostly G2s).

Just make sure they aren't blocking emergency exits

I've never felt "gotta catch 'em all" with ponies. Except G1, in a way, but that's more like "I love you ponies, come live with me". I could never keep a pony like Rapunzel or a Takara for more than a few weeks even if one happened to fall into my lap. I just can't justify keeping ponies that are worth that much. So for me, I know I'll never ever have them all even if I get lucky at a flea market.

A few weeks ago I went through all the G1s to list my favorites, and then all the G2s/G3s/G3.5s/G4s to list every pony/playset/accessory I wouldn't mind owning. It was a lot more than I expected! But again, I don't think I'll ever get all of that stuff. I'm sure plenty of them are way out of my price range and beyond that its just... so many! I need room for my other collections too.
