Are G1 and G3.5 Merponies Sought After?
« on: July 22, 2016, 07:31:25 AM »
I don't know much about them really. We're they popular back in the day. I didn't even know they existed till the internet. They seem to be rather scarce and I haven't seen the 3.5 ones pop up on eBay and very seldom see the G1s.

The G1 Merponies (Fancy Mermaid Ponies) are semi rare. I don't see them all that often, but they are not super expensive, so I would say they are not really popular. They run around $30-$70 depending on the auction at the time.

The G3/G3.5 are ponyville sized versions, and they aren't rare. They are later releases, and by then ponies were not popular, so they are rare simply because they weren't selling well in stores at the time.

The ponyville mermaids...
I don't think they're for sale often? When they are, they don't seem to be super expensive, but I've been looking for the Cheerilee one for AGES and nobody ever has it for sale or trade. It could easily lead to thinking they're rare. That and the bootleggers don't bootleg them onto ebay like some of the others?
