I've been wanting to play that game but haven't had a chance to try it yet. Did you try pressing every other button on the controller, just to see if one of them would work? Do you think the game is frozen, and that's the reason it won't continue past the start screen? If the game is frozen, that may mean that your PS3 is about to die on you. I hope that's not the problem!Otherwise, I'm not sure if I can do much more to help without being there in person. Sorry. On the brightside the person who sold me the game on amazon got back to me and refunded my amazon gift card order amount and told me I can keep the game so maybe I'll use the money to get a DualShock 3 controller so I can play my game.

The game isn't faulty and the fact that you have the wrong controller isn't the seller's problem. He didn't do anything wrong, why should you get a free game from him?
There needs to be a big warning on the cover of the game that says it requires a dual shock controller. I still use my old six-axis controller from time to time, so I could have had the very same problem!
