Matte topcoat over gloss?

This custom is going to be the death of me LOL

Ok, got my bait FBR'd, eyes repainted, and temp tattoos to stick as cutie mark. Sealed body with Mod Podge gloss. When comparing to her unsealed head, I think I'd prefer a matte sealant. Can I use a matte mod podge or testors dullcote over top of the gloss finish? Or am I stuck with the glossy finish? Or do I try to lightly sand off the gloss finish like I had to do to get the temp tattoos to stick and then finish with a matte sealant?

This is the reason I don't make customs!! I have no idea what I'm doing!

I don't know about Mod Podge but I've succesfully turned glossy coat to matte with polyurethane varnish. It could work! You can try and test it on the bottom of her hooves and see how it goes.

Yes you can. I recommend the dullcote as trying to us a brush to put the modpodge on could be a headache since modpodge is water soluble.
