Is white-haired Daisy Sweet "real", or is she like white Windy, a fading victim?  Does anyone have pictures of her?

I got the white version recently, but don't have my camera around.  I'm sure she's legit.  I have the yellow version too.  My white one is really minty and has no trace of yellow even at the roots of her hair :)

Same with mine I got a few years back. They "say" the yellow will still show (like forelock and roots) a little even when faded. I've checked mine all over nothing but pure white but I always wondered myself.

You'd think that there'd HAVE to be some trace of yellow or cream, for instance, in the middle of the root of the tail if you separated the tail to look.  If someone has one with a loose head, they could check inside the pony too :)

Hopeful someone does and can answer this for us. ;)

I thought that one was the German variant, like the yellow-haired Princess Tiffany? :) Or am I wrong?

Germany never had Perfume Puff ponies ;)

White haired Daisy Sweet is real I think. My Daisy Sweet is the yellow hair version and she is a little faded but you will always see the yellow of her hair at the roots. So a Daisy Sweet with no yellow roots shall be a legit white haired one.

LOL, both versions are real, I have had each.  Even if the yellow fades (and fades alot) she does tend to turn white in her poof but her forelock is still yellow because that type of hair doesn't really fade.  And as others have said, you will still tend to see the yellow at the base of her tail and where her mane is rooted.  Not sure why the two different versions. LOL

I have the white one in box. I used to have a loose one as well, but I think I sold her...I forget.

Anyhow, the difference between a faded yellow hair and a white haired one is indeed the forelock, because the forelock doesn't fade the way the puffy hair does. Also, the fading is clearer at the roots, as someone said.

Anyhow, some pictures of mine here:

(Scroll down)

Mine is not NRFB, and I am pretty sure her accessories got swapped out. The pony, however, has almost certainly never been removed from the card based on how she is fixed in place. As you can see from the pictures - her roots and forelock are snow white (compared with the gold one, above)

Wow, interesting!  What fun seeing her on card!

Was her white haired variant released everywhere the Perfume Puffs were sold?

So far as I am aware, the only sale release of Perfume Puff ponies in the UK were in US style boxes (ie the same as in the photo with Daisy Sweet). My list from Hasbro mentions Perfume Puff ponies but it says "names not known", which implies they may not have had direct involvement with them as a set here, and I don't think they're on any insert, although the Perfume Puff Palace (as it was sold here) ad in the comic features Daisy Sweet and...Lavender Lace, I think, so obviously they decided that with the palace they needed the ponies.

Daisy Sweet in that ad has gold hair though:

My assumption because of that would be that both versions happened in the UK and in the US release. Other countries, no idea, but if ours were imports, it makes sense for it to be that way. (And evidence I've seen thus far from people who had PP ponies as kids here are that the boxes are a match, so unless they have price labels from the UK on them, distinguishing is hard.)

Whoops! Then I guess I must be mixing up her and Tiffany! :lmao: My bad! Always good to hear new things about variants!

I got my first Daisy Sweet from a lot a couple of months ago, and although she has white hair, it's very clear that it's simply a faded yellow-haired version who went through a lot of abuse.
