Germany Tracking to US assistance

It's not often that I purchase from out of the country. How do I track a package coming to the US from Germany? Google gives quite the plethora of websites to enter in a tracking # but I'm not quite sure which one(s) are legit... Help please! Thank you.

If it was shipped as a letter with "Deutsche Post" you can track it here:
https://www.deutschepost.de/sendung/simpleQuery.html?locale=en_GB
Enter the tracking number and the date it was shipped.


If it was shipped as a small/large parcel you can track it over DHL:
https://www.dhl.de/de/paket/information/sendungsverfolgung.html
(you can switch to an english version - button on the top of the site)

Also most of the Deutsche Post / DHL stuff is also trackable over the usps site because the co-operate somehow.
