as I am mostly a MOC collector, most of my collection hangs on the wall in a room. ^.^ The loose ones I got (G1, G5) are on shelves or in a doll house (G5) I got for Xmas  ^.^ I love the idea my ponies got a home  :lol:

I have one large bookshelf for my ponies ^.^
I have 7 shelves, and my childhood herd stays together, and they take up almost two shelves. Then the rest are sorted by generation. My other g1s and g3s take about a shelf each, and my g2s and g4s share a shelf since I have the fewest of those. Then, they're sorted by pose/size in order to make the most of the limited space. The last shelf is a combination of some straggler ponies and my Jojo's Bizarre Adventure figures (who I've set up to look like they're riding the ponies) :lol:

I display them by generation and by type. (Real ponies vs. plushies vs. McD ponies.) Well, I currently have limited space, so I have the G4s on display on my bookshelf; and the G3s/G1s are in storage atm  ^^;

I have all of mine in a room just for them. It took a long time to get this room. A lot of stress, sadness and physical work! We had to build it ourselves. I have a link to pictures below on a facebook page. I love seeing how everyone else has there ponies! :)

mine are haphazardly strewn about various surfaces of my room--right now they're taking over my bookshelf, my jewelry cabinet, and my dresser. My room is kind of a mess right now. totally envious of the nice setups everyone else has.  :lovey:

Actually, I use these in my pony room:

http://www.bestbuy.com/site/atlantic-elite-media-tower-black-gray/9735365.p?id=1218164358640&skuId=9735365

I work at Best Buy so I get a considerable discount on these though, so for me it was an economical choice. I have limited space, having my pony room inside my apartment's walk-in closet. These shelves are just about the depth of one G1 pony and you can put 6-7 ponies in one compartment.

I have mine in Billy Bookshelves from Ikea with Oxberg doors. They're standing by colour as I like the idea of having a rainbowdisplay sort of thing. Exceptions for special sets like Flutters, Merry Go Rounds, 7 Tales, Brush 'n Grow, Sunshine ponies and customs.

My G3s are on consol shelves and my childhood toys are on display on a shelf I found in the garbage room (living in a university city it's like fleemarket in those rooms every sixth month) and painted white.

(shelves looks curved but that's because of the wide lense of the camera)

If I had room, I would make cute displays of different scenes but I have way too many ponies so they are either in storage bins or on shelves

SunbeamV - I do also keep my childhood ponies together, as they're so precious to me. It's a really cute idea to have your other collectibles interacting with the ponies too!

achab1984 - Wow, I can imagine the struggle! But it looks great :D

reanna-mator - Nice, I like those shelves. Really convenient :D

Beldarna - What a cute room you have! I love that it actually lets in some natural light. I love the idea of finding useful stuff in the garbage room - I can imagine how it is like a fleamarket. Lucky living in a university city :)

tikibirds - That's a really cute idea!
