How much hair needed to rehair a disney descendants doll?

I poked around the net a bit, but didn't find any solid information for it, so I figured someone around here has probably rehaired one lol. I found a disney descendants Mal doll the other day at a thrift store and went ahead and picked her up, just for the fun of it. I'm thinking of trying to give her a new face up, and rehair her, but I have no idea how many hanks of hair I should even think about ordering, as her head looks a bit bigger than any I've worked with before. I'm probably ordering from dollyhair, and am going with a medium length hair style. Suggestions?

How many do you usually get for a mh or eah?
I usually use 3 of the pony hanks, but i leave the hair pretty long.

now i mostly rehair with brushed yarn, so i haven't used dollyhair in a while.

The one MH i've worked on I used about two and half/three hanks, and left it medium long to long. A disney store Cinderella I did I only used two hanks, so I was thinking somewhere in that neighborhood, but I wanted to make sure I didn't terribly undershoot  and have to reorder.

Though I hadn't thought of using the brushed yarn method. I did that for a pony tail once and loved how it came out, so I may need to rethink my plan of hair attack lol

i love the brushed yarn look.
it is pretty different than for ponies as you need alot less. i've done several of them, so let me know if you need help.
