MLP Accessories

I have a big question regarding accessories as plastic clothes, combs...
How can I recognize them in the wild?
If you have pics of MIB with text in Spanish, please, share with me!

There really isn't a quick answer for this. Very few accessories have any kind of marks on them that you can use.  You just have to study pictures from websites and other collectors until you learn what is and what is not MLP.  You need to build an encyclopedic knowledge of what's out there to be able to pick out the good stuff from a box of random bits or from a blurry cell phone pic on ebay. There are a few sites you can start to look, but accessory info is harder to find than info about the ponies.

Even accessory collectors who have been collecting for years can make mistakes or miss things. One bit of advice: if you end up with a bag of little bits with some MLP items in it, do not trade/sell/throw away anything until you confirm it's not MLP. You can post pics here of any items you're not sure of, and you should get a reply pretty quickly.

Good luck!

Experience will help, but yeah, you pretty much have to memorize all the accessories.  Some of them have a "look" to them, others don't look like they would be for ponies at all...

At least there are lots of websites to help you do this!

Some sites to help you start with accessories:

G1:
http://www.greatponies.com/
http://www.ponylandtours.com/DreamCastle/Library/Accessories/accessories.htm

G2:
http://gen2.aien-hime.com/

G3:
http://www.ponytopia.com/
(early G3s - not the Core 7 or beyond ones)

G3.5 - G4:
http://strawberryreef.com/

No site is 100% complete, though Rainbow Forest(G2) is pretty darn close.  Greatponies is the go-to solely focused on accessories, and most others are focused on the whole pony with the accessories.  There are a few sites that focus on a certain kind of accessory including:
G1 Petites:
http://www.ponylandtours.com/PetitePocket/PetitePocketIndex.html

G1 Princess Pony accessories:
http://www.ponylandtours.com/princess/PrincessPonyHome.html

There used to be a *great* site called The MLP Ordeal that had pictures of all G1 playset accessories, but it was lost long ago:(  G3 and G4 sites tend to be mostly pictures of MIB ponies, so you can pick the accessories out if you're good, but the focus is on the pony for the most part.

This site has all generations, and has a lot of accessories shown(both MIB and out of the box), but it's not that easy to browse:

I find that especially for the G1s most 'types' repeat, so if you know the basic form of the brushes etc you can easily learn the difference.

I recently found an organization page on My Little Wiki that helps a lot with IDing accessories.  I generally use that one and the greatponies one.

Good luck!
