How HTF is Moon Jumper and Sky Dancer

Ok.. this is a serious question here... I have collected approx. 12 Windy/Summer Winged ponies for Bait/Restore projects.. Among them is Sky Dancer and Moon Jumper..

I have two of Moon Jumper in the set.. one who has chew marks and pin holes, hair cute, paint damage, and no wings.. the second Moon Jumper has intact wings, good paint, hair cuts, and is just nice over all but needs a bath.. I'm more worried about the one with holes than the other because she would require paint matching, which with her color I doubt I can match..

As for Sky Dancer.. I have 3 of those. 1 Hong Kong and 2 China. The Hong Kong girl has her wings with some damage, her hair doesn't look cut but she has regrind and seems to have one spot of pony cancer... The 2 China girls.. well I might be able to restore at least one of them... One is missing her wings and I though she was missing her back stopper (I actually found it inside her) and the stopper hole is damaged, cut hair, paint scuff on one eye, writing on the bottom of one of her feet, symbols look good, and some sort of white scuffing on her feet, oh and needs a bath... China girl #2 has her wings (although damaged), hair cut, symbol damage, but over all body condition looks good.. she is also lighter than the other China girl but darker than the Hong Kong girl..

So I have a dilemma on my hands... I need to know how hard to find are these two and if people are going to rage at me if I custom the ones I don't restore... I know in the end the ultimate choice is mine, but still it's nagging at me that is is possible that some will send me to the stake to burn (so to say)

I'd say Moonjumper is quite rare among the wingers, and Sky Dancer more common. In my decade+ of hunting garage sales, thrift shops, craigslist etc I've found several Sky Dancers (maybe 3-4?) and NEVER a Moonjumper (including my sister searching the same in a different city/state). I only found Moonjumper at long last at the national pony fair last year.

So I guess I would recommend restoring Moonjumper for sure! As for the Sky Dancers, if it were me I would try to come as close to restore as possible, and maybe end up doing an "alternate rehair"  Sky Dancer or "alternate symbol" Sky Dancer if you want to get creative.

I agree. Moon Dancer is so rare and highly sought after that I'm sure that a collector would love to add her to their collection even in less than pristine shape. I was lucky enough to acquire mine in an ebay lot and I rarely see her listed separately online --- because I've avidly searched for her so I definitely say don't customize --  restore if you can!

Lol SunnyDazeAhead, Maybe I should combine Moon Jumper and Sky Dancer to make a Moon Dancer custom Though not to be confused with Moondancer the unicorn

Sky Dancer is more common, as the Summer Wings are easier to find than the Windy Wings.
